TheraWand Pelvic LA-Wand Therapy Device
For the best experience, it is important to stay relaxed and comfortable. Follow these steps for vaginal or anal muscle release:
-
Find a Comfortable Position
- Lie on your back in a slightly reclined position with pillows under your head and knees for support.
- If lying on your side is more comfortable, you can try that too.
-
Apply Lubrication
- Use a generous amount of water-based lubricant on the rounded end of the wand.
-
Insert the Wand
- Gently insert the lubricated end of the wand into your vagina or anus.
-
Find Trigger Points
- Imagine your vaginal or anal opening as a clock.
- Gently press on areas between 1 to 5 o’clock and 7 to 11 o’clock to find sore spots or tight muscles.
-
Apply Light Pressure
- Slowly move the wand over these tight areas.
- For the best results, hold gentle pressure on each spot for at least 5 minutes to allow muscles to relax.
-
Breathe and Relax
- Take deep breaths while pressing the wand against tight muscles.
- This helps the muscles loosen and reduces pain.
-
Be Extra Careful
- The 11 to 1 o’clock position is more sensitive, especially for people with a vagina. Only apply pressure here if your doctor or therapist advises it.
- In men, the 11 to 1 o’clock position is where the prostate is located, which can sometimes cause pain and may need a gentle release.
-
Massage Scar Tissue
- If you have scar tissue from childbirth (episiotomy) or surgery, gently massaging the area may help reduce pain and improve comfort.
